Here are a few of the recent dragonflies I've come across as near the local ponds...
Little Blue Dragonlet
The Little Blue Dragonlet and Eastern Amberwing are two of the smallest dragonflies I've seen. The amberwing very closely resembles a wasp in both size and body shape.
What an extraordinary set of pics, I mean, Carolina Saddlebags ? I've learn a lot from your post Tammy, and some of the colours, realy beautiful. All the best Gordon.
Wonderful series, Tammy! It's been fun (and frustrating) trying to learn the different species. They're really a colorful bunch. Now, if I can just remember to focus, focus, focus........
AHA! Indeed! Thanks Tammy for bringing my attention to this post!! Sorry, I am a poor blogger these days... spending much time after dragons, as you can imagine! These picture are gorgeous and these dragons are fantastic, especially because they are far from what we have in Europe! I am so keen to see them on "Dragonflies from France and elsewhere"! The Halloween pennant is incredible, is it common? Cheerio and keep well!
