A curious Loggerhead Shrike
A loud Eastern Meadowlark...."Can you hear me now?"
A hungry Wood Stork eating a decaying dead fish...
This was the Stork's reply when I asked how the fish tasted...
Finally, I saw my first Bufflehead at the Click Ponds:)
Beautiful colours in the Easternlark shot. Ours in the uk are pretty dull compared to that with exception of the Shorelark. Have a great Christmas and keep the camera busy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marc! The Meadowlark is quite colorful! I hope you have a great Christmas also!
DeleteSweet bird treats for my eyes.. thanks for sharing the beauty!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on capturing the Bufflehead, Tammy.
Have a wonderful day :)
Hi Tammy!

Love the Eastern Meadowlark Tammy! A lot more colourful than any of 'our' Larks, which tend to be brown.

heerlijke foto,s
ReplyDeleteGreat portraits of the Shrike and Meadowlark! I can relate to the Wood Stork, prehistoric looking and willing to eat almost anything. I'm jealous of you with your Meadowlark! I can't get one to hold still for anything! Buffleheads are striking in their black and white and just downright cute.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Holiday!
Mmm dead fish! Love that shot..
ReplyDeleteFantastic fantastic fantastic. They are all amazing shots. Seriously....I love all your birds. I think I will be coming out to Florida in March to visit a friend and um...bird:) These are exciting...thanks for sharing! Love that stork....and your Meadowlark!

ReplyDeletebeautiful, as always! love the shrike portrait! :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant shooting, my favourite is defecated Wood Stork, lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots - I've nerv seen a meadowlark - but every picture I see of them has them perched on a pole belting out a song! Do they do anything else!?
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Here you have got some amazing photos of these beautiful birds, like all very much and think it's fun to see the unknown species.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a Merry Christmas!

You have the most interesting birds and they always seem to be possing for you! :)

Great photos Tammy, your birds are always doing something interesting. The Wood Stork looks like it's picking out material for a new hat, and the Meadowlark doesn't seem to need it's neon yellow colouring to draw attention to itself, not with a voice like that! So funny :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, they are all very well photographed, compliments.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day, Irma
Beautiful shots! The Meadowlark is fantastic! Apparently, the stork wasn't impressed about having his photo taken!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant stuff Tammy, I thought the Loggerhead was stunning but the Meadowlark was even more stunning.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots as always, Tammy!
ReplyDeleteLove all of them.
Wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Mette
