This pretty well sums up the afternoon weather this week.
I made a few trips to the wetlands and ponds this week. The wetlands were closed to cars all week, so we enjoyed several peaceful, long (hot, humid) walks.

At the wetlands, the Cattle Egrets continue to nest. The majority of them nest on a large island in center of the wetlands. The Egrets can be seen coming and going from the mainland, taking nesting material to their own private island.

Beautiful images. We visited the Wetlands yesterday and while we walked around the first pond it seems like all the birds headed for the little island when the thunder started. We were just back at the car when the first rain drops started.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the storm, you would be afraid of.
ReplyDeleteThe birds are great.
Greetings Irma
all your shots are great, but that osprey shot is GORGEOUS!

I love the way the cormorant is standing with its wings open, as if it is embracing the day :) The picture of the egret is completely magical, it appears to be floating instead of flying. Fantastic photos!
