Yellow Legs

Not sure how most people feel about the end of day light savings time, but I don't mind the change.  I was able to watch the sunrise on my way to work this week. It is my favorite time of day!

Green Heron

I haven't had a whole time for birding, but here are a few shots of some of the birds I saw last month at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.

Tricolored Heron

Greater Yellowlegs

Hmm, I was beginning to notice a trend, yellow legs.

American Avocets

Belted Kingfisher

Yellow-throated Warbler

Have a great weekend!

Well done with the Kingfisher too! Belted Kings are soooo difficult to approach for photography.

  5. I'm surprised you ever make it to work with a view like that. I'd be "one more picture, just one more" and end up fired by the end of the week :) I love the colours and the long line of birds in your first shot, like a black-stitched seam in the sky. Great photos of the other birds as well. Happy weekend to you, Tammy!

  10. I love the third photo with the blue water back drop to the bird. Great contrast.

Love a sunrise? Are you one of those people who always wake up cheery and bright eyed just to annoy those of us who don't? LOL
