Lily Ducklings


We spent the past week exploring the sights and sounds of Chicago. We saw this Mallard family among the pads of the lily pool near Lincoln Park.


The ducklings made their way over and under the large floating mats.


They sure were adorable!



This Green Heron was trying to get a better look at the approaching youngsters.

  15. Fantastic captures, Tammy. They couldn't be more adorable as they curiously wander through the lily pads. I especially love the one holding its foot up.
    Even the Green heron is enjoying the show.

    I love pic N°1 and the ducklings are soooo cute!
    Sorry for not being as present as I would like on your blog (and others!) but I have been 'round and about as you saw on mine!
    I have had a good look at your other posts, great stuff there too with of course a special interest in your 18th of July dragonfly!
    I sure will look up what species it is!
    I wish I could come back to the States just for those dragons!
    Spots on the wings are quite scarce in France!
